Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be received by our
representative and transferred to your hotel. After lunch, enjoy sightseeing in Paro
valley including:
Rinpung Dzong – a 17th‑century fortress monastery
Ta Dzong (National Museum) – showcasing Bhutanese art and history

After breakfast, hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), dramatically
perched on a cliff. The round‑trip hike takes about 5–6 hours.

Drive to Genekha village, the starting point of the Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek.
Begin trekking through terraced fields, oak and rhododendron forests. Gradual
ascent to Gur campsite.

Walking Time: 5–6 hrs
Today’s trek involves a steady climb to higher alpine terrain. Cross high ridges
offering spectacular views of the Dagala range and distant Himalayan peaks. Reach
Labatama, the heart of the Thousand Lakes region.

Rest and acclimatization day. Explore the famous Dagala Thousand Lakes, including
Relitsho, Hentsho, and Setsho lakes. Ideal day for photography and short hikes.

Trek Distance: 7 km
Walking Time: 4–5 hrs
Descend gradually through alpine meadows and yak pastures. Enjoy panoramic
mountain views along the way. Reach Pankha campsite by afternoon.

Trek Distance: 6 km
Walking Time: 3–4 hrs
Final day of trekking with a long descent through forests to Chamgang, where
transport will be waiting. Drive back to Thimphu.
